Quick Breakfast Ideas
They say breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. I’ll admit I’m not the best at this but always try to have something, even if it’s small. I believe it’s a great way to give your body the fuel it needs to start off your day. I’m typically always on the go, so I look for something that is nutritious, super easy but most importantly delicious! It has to taste good, right? Today, I decided to share with you my top three quick breakfast idea’s.
Let’s start with the most basic but with an ingredient we should all make an effort to keep in our kitchen cabinets, oatmeal. As a little girl I remember the only way I ever ate this was with tons of sugar and butter toast. But now I’ve came up with healthier alternatives from my childhood madness. I personally love sweets, so naturally I always make an effort to stalk my fridge with nature’s sugar, fruit and honey. Pick your favorite fruit, cut it up and add some suga!
If you came to my house and swing open my fridge I promise the first thing you will see is a big container of plain greek yogurt. Why? Well Costco is amazing and sells it in bulk but it provides so many good things for you like protein, calcium, and probiotics. So basically it’s healthy, really good for you and I honestly use this in almost EVERYTHING. Although, greek yogurt is seen as a afternoon snack, I love having this for breakfast. Just pick your choice of fruit, add honey and bang, breakfast!
Now the infamous rice cake! Let’s admit it, it’s not attractive, it is totally dry, but if you pair it correctly it won’t be so bad. Promise! There’s a reason why you see people endlessly crunching away at this like squirrels. It’s low in calories BUT it is made out of brown rice. If you had to chose between white and brown rice, brown is a lot healthier for you. So, I like to pair my rice cake with crunchy peanut butter, banana, and honey.
