One of my favorite accessories of all time is a watch. This probably sounds old fashioned but what can I say, I’m an old soul. My earliest memory growing up was seeing my mom patiently doing her makeup every morning and putting on her watch before we left the house. As crazy as this might sound for all of you youngsters out there, there was a time not too long ago where we couldn’t rely on smartphones to tell us what time it was or keep our schedules organized. We had pay phones and watches. Insane? I know.
Although we might not be as dependent on our watches anymore, I like the idea that if all else fails, my watch could save the day. Or that if someone asks for the time and I just tossed my phone in the black hole that is my purse? My watch would come to the rescue.
But in all seriousness, I think it’s a great timeless accessory. Timex recently launched Metropolitan, it's their new ultra thin gold toned watch. Let me tell you, as a watch fanatic I am so surprised at how lightweight it feels on your wrist. It’s definitely a refreshing new concept. Like myself, for all of you worried that your wrist might be too small or too big, a simple wrist adjuster does the trick. Don’t worry they seriously thought of everything, and it’s super easy to do it yourself. Don’t forget the holidays are around the corner and it’s never too early to start crossing off names.
